Scott Weiland’s estate grows by $1 million since his death

Tragic Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland’s fortune has swelled by $1 million ($804,000) since his death in 2015, according to his ex-wife.
The late rocker passed away after suffering a drug overdose at 48, and three years after his demise, his fortune has increased by seven figures, according to new court filings obtained by The Blast.
The Between the Lines singer’s ex-wife, Mary Forsberg, submitted new legal documents this week (beg15Jul19), providing updates on the state of his financial affairs and noting the current estimated value of his estate is $1,979,261 (£1,600,000).
She claims the estate holdings have been boosted by $1,054,385.70 in gross royalties over three years, with an estimated average annual income of $351,462 (£282,000).
Mary is working to settle state and federal tax liens against the estate, after settling a lawsuit over damage caused to a tour bus Weiland leased in the summer before his December, 2015 death, as well as a case involving the payment of lawyers in a suit involving his former band.
Mary was named the executor of Scott’s estate in his will, even though he was married to Jamie Wachtel at the time of his death.
