The Good, The Bad And The Ugly screenwriter Luciano Vincenzoni has died, aged 87. The celebrated Italian writer passed away in Rome, Italy on Sunday (22Sep13) after a battle with cancer.
Vincenzoni enjoyed a long-running partnership with Hollywood producer Dino De Laurentiis, and worked on a number of Sergio Leone’s well-known Spaghetti Westerns, writing some of the most memorable lines of Clint Eastwood’s career in 1966’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
He also co-wrote the script for 1965’s For a Few Dollars More, 1964’s Seduced and Abandoned, and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1986 action movie Raw Deal, as well as numerous Italian films.
