Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ chef lawsuit to be handled in private arbitration

Rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sexual harassment lawsuit with a former chef is to be handled in private, a judge has ruled.
Cindy Rueda filed a complaint against the star in Los Angeles County Superior Court in May (17), alleging she was asked to serve meals to the rapper and/or his friends while they were having sex and was subsequently framed for theft and fired after she complained about it.
On Thursday (17Aug17), a Los Angeles judge ruled that because Rueda had signed a “plain vanilla arbitration agreement” when she was hired, she must pursue her legal claims through private arbitration instead of via the court system.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Allen White stayed the lawsuit pending the outcome of arbitration and set the next hearing for August, 2018, according to the New York Daily News.
The chef, who worked for Combs from January, 2015 until May, 2016, is suing him for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, retaliation, defamation, failure to pay overtime, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other claims.
Combs has vehemently denied her allegations.
