Second alleged victim comes forward in Andrew Lancel child sex trial

A second alleged victim has come forward to testify against British actor Andrew Lancel as he fights child sex accusations in a U.K. court. The former Coronation Street star, real name Andrew Watkinson, is currently on trial in Liverpool facing claims he indecently assaulted a boy under the age of 15 between 1993 and 1994, while working with a youth theatre group.
Lancel has pleaded not guilty to all six counts, but his defence was rocked on Tuesday (04Jun13) when a second man, who had also been part of the theatre club, took to the witness stand and claimed the actor had molested him when he was 15.
The male, now 35, told the court that Lancel had invited him to his house for a massage, but the actor reportedly ended up performing a sex act on him.
Earlier on Tuesday, the original plaintiff in the child sex case broke down in tears after Lancel’s lawyer, Andrew Menary QC, accused the now-34 year old of making up the “malicious lie”.
The case continues.
