Selena Gomez celebrates New York in latest Coach campaign

Selena Gomez celebrates New York City in her second campaign for Coach.
The singer and actress was tapped as a brand ambassador for the American luxury fashion label in December 2016, and has since gone on to unveil a limited-edition range of handbags for the company.
Now, Selena has reprised her role as the face of Coach for the spring/summer 2018 season, starring in a photo campaign shot by Steven Meisel and an accompanying video set against a backdrop of the Big Apple.
“(Coach) creative director Stuart Vevers makes New York feel like a town, a real community,” she said in a statement on Wednesday (03Jan18). “It just feels like this is where the brand really lives.”
For the marketing imagery, Selena was styled by Karl Templer, while her hair and make-up was done by beauty experts Pat McGrath and Guido Palau.
In one photo, the star, who recently got back together with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, poses against a window with the Empire State Building evident in the background, and sports a pale pink minidress, leather jacket and glittery cowboy-style boots while clutching onto the new-season quilted Parker bag.
While the video is set to her hit tune Wolves, and shows her dancing in an apartment, holding a purse with rose-shaped clasp, and showing off elaborate silver jewellery.
Speaking about the project, Stuart explained that he was thrilled with the final result.
“Steven Meisel’s photography brings a layer of magic to those seemingly everyday situations,” he shared. “Whilst Selena has a warmth that’s special – there is also an authenticity and realness to her that brings the campaign to life.”
Coach’s new Parker handbag is due to hit shelves in February and the other items later in the season.
