Selena Gomez: ‘I’m not quitting pop’

Selena Gomez has played down reports she is planning to turn her back on music for Hollywood, insisting she changes her mind about the future of her career “all the time”. The Come & Get It hitmaker revealed earlier this year (13) that her latest release, Stars Dance, could be her final album as she was keen to focus all of her efforts on her acting following appearances in 2013 films Spring Breakers and Getaway.
She said, “This is a weird transition for me. I want to keep pushing myself so I never feel settled. I don’t really know if it’s going to end up working. I’m stressed out most of the time.”
However, the 21 year old has now spoken out to quell fans’ fears, admitting that although she is hoping to work on more films next year (14), they should never take her comments about quitting pop so seriously.
Gomez says, “First of all, I’m a girl so I change my mind all the time. I love acting as well so I’ve been trying to balance both as best as I can, but I love both so much.”
