Selena Gomez’s make-up artist awkwardly referenced her love life in their joint Instagram video by joking she “loves Canadians”.
The singer appeared with her make-up artist Hung Vanngo in an Instagram video and they gave a shout out to their fans around the world. When he suggests Canada she says to the camera “Hey Canada!” before Hung cheekily adds, “You know Selena loves Canadians.”
Selena then ducks away from the camera as she responds with “alright, alright” and a small chuckle before turning the camera off.
Hung’s joke referenced her previous relationship with Canadian singer Justin Bieber, who she dated on and off between 2011 and 2014, and her current boyfriend, Canadian star The Weeknd, who she has been seeing since January (17).
Since they were spotted having a romantic dinner in Beverly Hills, the couple have since been seen in Italy and other countries on his tour. They recently spent time in his hometown of Toronto, where they visited an aquarium.
The celebrities have largely avoided referencing their romance on social media but he has shared a couple of videos of Selena watching a jellyfish tank on Instagram.
Hung helped create Selena’s look for her appearance at a female empowerment event as part of her role as Coach ambassador on Thursday (23Mar17).
She surprised students from two Los Angeles high schools when she appeared at an event organised by Coach’s national charity partner Step Up, which helps empower young women from under-resourced communities. She helped lead a lesson which promoted confidence and helped students realise their potential and capabilities, according to People.com.

Sharing a picture from her visit on her Instagram account, she praised the young women for “how much they are willing put others before themselves.”
