Selena Gomez to headline Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show

Singer Selena Gomez is set to perform for her hometown team at their traditional U.S. Thanksgiving Day (28Nov13) football game. The Come & Get It hitmaker will headline the half-time during the Dallas Cowboys’ showdown against the Oakland Raiders in Texas.
Announcing the big gig on Sunday (03Nov13), Gomez said, “I’m so excited to be here. I’m from Texas, so I’m a little nervous, I’m not going to lie. But I’m very honoured and I hope that we come – me, my dancers and my band – and we give Texas a really good show and I make them proud.
“I don’t think you can be from Texas and not watch a Cowboys Thanksgiving game. (Fans) should expect something new with a twist of old… We had to make it special for my hometown.”
She later added on Twitter.com, “Feels SO good to be home. Hi Dallas. I hope I make TX (Texas) proud.”
