Saturday Night Live star Seth Meyers is preparing to walk down the aisle after proposing to his longtime girlfriend. The 39-year-old funnyman met Alexi Ashe at a wedding several years ago, and now they are planning their own nuptials.
A representative for the couple confirmed the happy news to Usmagazine.com, while a source adds, “They are incredibly solid. He’s very excited for the next phase of his life. He’s known that she’s The One for a while, but it was all about timing.”
The engagement comes just weeks after it was revealed Meyers has been picked to replace TV talk show host Jimmy Fallon when his Late Night show comes to an end in 2014.
