Sharon Osbourne absent from chat show after Ozzy split rumours

Sharon Osbourne unexpectedly took the day off from her U.S. talk show on Monday (09May16) following rumours she and her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne have split.
Over the weekend (ends08May16), multiple reports suggested the rock matriarch, 63, had kicked the Black Sabbath frontman, 67, out of their California mansion after more than 33 years of marriage.
Sources told British newspaper The Sun that Sharon and Ozzy fell out amid allegations of the musician’s infidelity.
She is said to have confronted him with alleged proof he cheated on her with a 45-year-old celebrity hairdresser, named Michelle Pugh. The insider claims Sharon went “ballistic” and insisted she had suspected he was having an affair for quite some time.
And on Monday, Sharon was noticeably absent from her co-hosting job on The Talk. During the live show, fellow presenter Julie Chen addressed Sharon’s no-show, but did not go into further details.
“There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumours and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage,” Julie said. “Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same.”
While Ozzy may have moved out of their home, an insider tells People magazine Sharon did manage to spend America’s Mother’s Day holiday on Sunday (08May16) with their three kids, Amy, Kelly and Jack, and grandchildren at their house.
Ozzy and Sharon have struggled in the past due to his drug and alcohol troubles, but the insider tells People his alleged affair has hit Sharon hard.
Meanwhile, Ozzy is planning to make a major tour announcement alongside Slipknot star Corey Taylor on Thursday (12May16), and, in a note sent to media covering the event at the Hollywood Palladium, those attending have been forbidden from getting too personal.
The invitation-only event media sheet reads: “Please join OZZY OSBOURNE and COREY TAYLOR as they make a very special announcement… Please note: Ozzy Osbourne will speak only about his tour plans.”
