Shatner shut down in cyberspace

The veteran actor is a keen web user, regularly updating his Twitter.com page and he even founded his own networking site, MyOuterSpace.com, for sci-fi fans.

But he had issues with cyberspace on Monday (18Jul11) after trying to use Google’s new social networking forum, Goggle+, when his profile was allegedly deleted for “violating standards”.

On his Twitter.com page, Shatner told his 646,327 followers, “My Google+ account was flagged for violating standards. Saying hello to everyone apparently is against the rules maybe I should say goodbye?”

However, bosses at Google+ obviously saw the tweet, and reinstated the profile with immediate effect. He writes on his + profile, “I am back plusers. I still do not know what happened but I will refrain from saying hello again for a while just in case. My best, Bill.”
