Shaun White in the clear after public intoxication arrest

The sportsman was charged with public intoxication and vandalism during a weekend of mayhem in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was attending the wedding of his rocker pal Patrick Carney.

He was accused of trashing his hotel suite and setting off several fire alarms in the building following a confrontation with management and staff, and subsequently apologised for his “unwise choices” as he tried to work out his legal troubles.

White reached an agreement with authorities in November (12), and was required to perform 24 hours of community service and pay restitution to the hotel owners by 25 January (13) in exchange for having the counts dismissed.

He settled his debts with the venue owners last year (12) and had the vandalism charge wiped from his record, while the second count was formally dropped on Friday (04Jan13).

Confirming the news, White’s representative tells People.com, “All matters in regard to the recent incident in Nashville have been resolved.”
