Shawn Mendes is bringing his style to the masses after creating a capsule collection for outdoor lifestyle brand Roots.
Shawn has teamed with the label, which hails from his native Canada, to celebrate his first-ever homecoming stadium show at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, which takes place on 6 September (19).
Fans can pick up pieces both online and at a pop-up shop in the Roots store at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, and those who get to the store will be given a code for priority presale access and guaranteed tickets to the gig.
“I’m so excited to launch this collaboration with Roots,” Shawn said in a statement. “With my first ever stadium show coming up in my home town Toronto, it felt like the perfect way to celebrate, by teaming up with one of the most iconic Canadian brands.”
The collection, inspired by the artwork for the 20-year-old’s self-titled third album, consists of a hoodie, sweatpants, two pocket T-shirts, a hat and a custom-designed Award Jacket handcrafted in the Roots Toronto Leather Factory. Prices range from $32 to $598.
Karen Zuccala, Vice President Global Marketing at Roots, called it an honor to work with the award-winning Stitches singer, and promised it was just the beginning of their partnership.
“We are thrilled to partner with Shawn during such an important milestone in his career,” she beamed. “It is an honour to work with such an incredibly talented Canadian singer and songwriter and bring his vision to life. The collection is the beginning of an ongoing creative relationship; we are excited to see where we can take this.”
