Judges announced the winners of the two categories early so moviegoers could catch a glimpse of the films before the festival closes on Sunday (01May11).
Other top prizes went to Carice Van Houten (Best Actress for Black Butterflies) and Ramadhan ‘Shami’ Bizimana (Best Actor for Grey Matter).
South Korean Park Jungbum was named Best New Narrative Director for The Journals of Musan, while Venezuelan filmmaker Pablo Croce picked up the Best New Documentary Director award for Like Water.
