Sheen attacks TV show producers who sacked him

The star was axed “with immediate effect” from the show following a 10-day media blitz, during which he constantly took aim at the producers and creator/writer Chuck Lorre for cancelling the remaining episodes of the current season.

The TV bosses suspended filming at the end of January (11) in a bid to allow Sheen some time to recover from a string of wild antics in rehab. But when he went public with a bitter attack on Lorre, they scrapped the rest of the eighth season.

And now Sheen is out of a job.

In an angry tirade on news show Access Hollywood – one of Sheen’s regular outlets for his rants last week (ends05Mar11) – he raged, “It’s so juvenile. It is the work of infants… and if this is what it had to come to to get me out of those silly shirts then so be it.

“These guys are such yellow cockroaches that they didn’t even have the decency to call me. I put five bill (billion dollars) in their cheap suit pockets. It’s just deplorable and they should be ashamed of themselves.

“I kind of sensed it… but I don’t know I thought they’d be this foolish, but clearly they are.”

He also commented about the future of the show, which co-stars Pretty in Pink actor Jon Cryer, insisting the producers will fail if they try to replace him: “It’ll be a different show, I’m sure it’ll be fine, whatever; people will tune in for, like, the first one.”

Meanwhile, Sheen has his custody battle for his kids to focus on – he was due to face off with his estranged wife Brooke Mueller in court on Tuesday (08Mar11), but the showdown has temporarily been called off.

The actor is fighting to win back the right to see his twin sons after Mueller filed a restraining order against the troubled star and claimed physical custody of the boys last week (01Mar11).
