Sian Blake’s former partner admits killing actress and children

The partner of British actress Sian Blake has confessed to killing the 43-year-old and their two young sons.
Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, was charged with three counts of murder in February (16) for the deaths of the former EastEnders actress and her two boys, Zachary, eight, and four-year-old Amon.
He appeared via videolink at London’s Old Bailey on Friday (29Apr16) and his defence lawyer Jim Sturman QC told the court that his client had confessed to the killings.
“He admits the killing, that can be reported”, he said.
Simpson-Kent was remanded in custody until 29 July (16), when he is expected to officially enter his plea. His trial will take place in October.
The three bodies were found buried in the garden of the family’s home in Kent, England in January (16), three weeks after Blake was reported missing. Simpson-Kent was arrested at Heathrow Airport after being extradited back to the U.K. from Ghana where he fled.
Blake, who suffered from motor neurone disease, played character Frankie Pierre in 56 episodes of British soap EastEnders between in the mid-1990s.
