Singer Cody Johnson placed on vocal rest

Country singer Cody Johnson has been forced to postpone three concerts after struggling with vocal issues.
The On My Way to You star had been due to perform in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday (29Nov18), followed by weekend shows in Knoxville, Tennessee and Greenville, South Carolina, but he had to reschedule the gigs to allow his voice to heal.
“Unfortunately due to doctor’s orders, Cody has been put on vocal rest and will be unable to perform this weekend,” read a post on the 31-year-old musician’s Twitter page.
The affected dates have already been rescheduled, with Johnson now set to return to the cities between March and May (19).
Despite his illness, Cody is determined to bounce back in time for his next shows in Texas and Oklahoma on 7 and 8 December (18), respectively, and has been actively promoting the concerts online.
The performances were booked in support of his upcoming album, Ain’t Nothing To It, which hits retailers in January (19).
He’s not the only singer resting his vocals – Justin Timberlake has rescheduled a string of shows as he battles bruised vocal cords.
