Country singer/songwriter Mac Mcanally is in recovery after suffering a heart attack.
The 60-year-old had been due to join his Coral Reefers bandleader Jimmy Buffett, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney as part of the line-up for a hurricane benefit gig in Tallahassee, Florida on Sunday (19Nov17), but he had to pull out of the show after he was hospitalised in Los Angeles on 13 November (17).
McAnally, who has penned hits for the likes of Chesney, Alabama, and Shenandoah, has since been taking it easy, and his publicist, Elaine Schock, has assured fans he is on the mend.
“Mac is doing well,” she told Taste of Country. “He was released from the hospital last week and planning to resume work soon.”
