Sinitta: ‘I’d chosen something incredible to wear for X Factor before snub’

Sinitta had picked out “something incredible to wear” for Judges’ Houses on The X Factor before being told that she wasn’t required for the show.
The So Macho singer has become a favourite choice for helping out close friend Simon Cowell in the latter stage of the TV competition hitting headlines for ensembles she’s worn for the job, including a bikini made out of palm leaves. However, Sinitta confirmed earlier this month (Sep17) that she hadn’t been invited back for Judges’ Houses on the 2017 show, and explained further in a statement to journalist Dan Wootton that she had been left disappointed by the snub – especially as she’d put so much work into her outfit.
“They decided to go ‘in a different direction’ is what one of the directors told me,” Sinitta said in a statement read out on British TV show Lorraine on Monday morning (25Sep17). “I had prepared and also turned down other work and created something incredible to wear. I had done an amazing vocal course and created a new mentoring session for the contestants.”
Sinitta had previously tweeted: “Today I was informed I will Not be doing @TheXFactor again this year( after being invited back 2 years in a row and so close to filming).”
It’s believed that Sinitta is being replaced by former X Factor judge Cheryl, who Dan stated “is making her big X Factor comeback potentially before a return maybe to the judges’ panel next year.”
According to reports, Cheryl will be helping out Simon, while his fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger also have some big names lined up to help them whittle down the talent. Sharon is believed to have asked her children Jack and Kelly Osbourne to give her a hand, while Nicole is apparently set to be aided by British grime star Stormzy. The fourth judge, Louis Walsh, will be helped by a mystery guest.
