Sisqo taking legal action against Fashion Week impostor

Singer Sisqo is taking legal action against a man who posed as him in an attempt to gatecrash designer shows during New York Fashion Week (09-17Feb17).
Sources told Page Six the doppelganger, who had been attending sought-after shows as the Thong Song hitmaker, was prevented from boarding a private jet heading to the Caribbean after his true identity was revealed as he went through customs.
The imposter, real name Gavin Barnes, was on his way to celebrate a Sisqo fan’s bat mitzvah.
peaking to Page Six, Barnes claimed he never said he was Sisqo, adding, “People thought I was him, and that wasn’t cool.”
Sisqo’s manager Jeff Allen was notified of the alleged fraud, and told the outlet, “Management has no idea who this guy is. It’s flattering, I guess. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.”
Sisqo didn’t find the situation too serious at first, but he has since changed his tune.
“It p**ses me off that other people got hurt,” he tells TMZ. “There was a little girl that was asking me to go to her bat mitzvah and this guy was about to hop on a private jet and go and imitate me… So that’s when I started to take it seriously. I mean you got this 13-year-old little girl thinking that I’m going to come perform live at her bat mitzvah… So now we’re taking legal action.”
