Sofia Vergara wants ex-fiance’s legal bill demand tossed

Actress Sofia Vergara is refusing to bow to her ex-fiance’s demand for legal fees in their long-running frozen embryo battle, insisting she doesn’t owe him anything.
The Modern Family star has been locked in a nasty court fight with Nick Loeb ever since they split in 2014, after refusing to grant him permission to have two embryos they had frozen when they were together brought to term.
Under the terms of their arrangement, both parties have to give their consent before either of them can take action.
Loeb has had his efforts shut down twice to date, but filed a third lawsuit against Vergara in early 2018 in Louisiana, where embryos are considered “biological human beings” under state law.
That case is still ongoing, but in the meantime, Loeb is seeking to have his ex cover the cost of his legal bills after her previous countersuit for malicious prosecution was dismissed in a California court.
He is seeking an award of around $120,000 (£96,000), but Vergara, who has been married to actor Joe Manganiello since 2015, argues Loeb has failed to provide evidence of the fees with invoices, and is asking the judge overseeing the dispute to toss the motion completely, reports The Blast.
