Sophia Bush is reportedly leaving Chicago P.D. after four seasons.

The actress has starred as Detective Erin Lindsay in the police procedural drama since 2014.
But Sophia won’t be returning for season five, which was greenlit by NBC network officials in May (17), Deadline reports.

According to the site, the star is leaving of her own accord and her character could be written out of the show as Erin was contemplating leaving the police department for a job in the FBI in the season finale.

She may return in a guest role to help wrap up the character’s story.

Sophia won’t be the only one departing – co-creator and showrunner Matt Olmstead left in March, executive producers Michael Brandt and Mark Tinker at the end of the season, and Jon Seda, who played Antonio Dawson, moved over from P.D. during season four to the latest TV show in the Chicago franchise, Chicago Justice.

However, he may return following Justice’s recent cancellation after only one season.

Sophia, who appeared as Erin in Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Law & Order: SVU, all shows produced by Dick Wolf, previously starred in teen drama series One Tree Hill from 2003 to 2012.
