Spice Girl endorses Labour party

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has publicly endorsed Britain’s ruling Labour Party for the June 7 elections, Reuters reports. A press release from the Labour Party cites her praise for current Prime Minister Tony Blair and wife Cherie. “We all need good parenting with love and guidance and I think Tony and Cherie are great examples to us,” said Halliwell, who left the Spice Girls in 1998. Halliwell’s most recent single, It’s Raining Men, became her fourth solo single to hit No. 1 in England, reaching to top spot last week. Labour is expected to retain power in the upcoming elections.
