Stanley Kubrick to be celebrated at gala

Spielberg will pay tribute to Kubrick at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s second annual Art + Film Gala, which is to be chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio.

The fundraiser will also celebrate an upcoming exhibition of the A Clockwork Orange director’s work at LACMA, which will feature his early photographs, annotated scripts, costumes and props when it opens in November (12).

Terry Semel, former Warner Bros. chairman and co-chair of LACMA’s board of trustees, says, “I had the honour of working with Stanley Kubrick on the Warner Bros. films Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut. It gives me great pleasure to honour Stanley at LACMA, both at the Art + Film Gala and in his retrospective exhibition.”
