Star-studded Forever Country song makes history in U.S. charts

A star-studded country song which links three classic tunes by Dolly Parton, John Denver and Willie Nelson has become only the third track to debut at number one on the U.S. country charts.
Forever Country, a medley of Denver’s Take Me Home, Country Roads, Nelson’s On the Road Again, and Dolly’s I Will Always Love You, is only the third song to rocket to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs countdown since it launched in 1958.
Only Garth Brooks and Craig Wayne Boyd have previously debuted at number one.
The song was released to honour the 50th Annual CMA Awards, which were held recently.
The track features the singing talents of Brad Paisley, Parton, Nelson, former couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood.
The stunning video accompanying the track features the country stars merging the three tunes while singing at animated U.S. landmarks.
The promo ends with many of them appearing in a cornfield as Dolly sings the last line of her mega-hit.
