Starr’s lawyer arrested

Starr is facing up to 20 years in prison after he admitted embezzling $30 million (£20 million) from clients such as Uma Thurman, Martin Scorsese, and Wesley Snipes.

He pleaded guilty in September (10) to charges including wire fraud and money laundering, and is due to be sentenced in February (11).

And Starr’s lawyer Jonathan Bristol is now caught up in the fallout from the case – he was arrested on Thursday (16Dec10) and accused of helping to conceal the Ponzi-style scheme by hiding money in secret accounts.
