Stars turn out for White House dinner

Bradley Cooper, J.J. Abrams and Mary J. Blige were among the stars who mingled with politicians and world leaders during a state dinner at the White House on Tuesday night (11Feb14). The Hangover actor attended the glitzy event in Washington, D.C. with his model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse and was photographed engaged in a heated conversation with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Star Trek director Abrams also attended the event, along with actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays America’s vice-president in TV series Veep and was seated next to her real-life counterpart Joe Biden.
Mary J. Blige performed at the event for an audience which included the host, U.S. President Barack Obama, and guest of honour, French President Francois Hollande.
