Stephanie Moseley’s Hit the Floor castmates start memorial fund

Late actress/dancer Stephanie Moseley’s co-stars and crewmembers on her TV series Hit The Floor have started a memorial fund to assist her family following her death. Moseley was found dead in her apartment in Los Angeles on Monday morning (08Dec14) after her husband, rapper Earl Hayes, apparently shot her before turning the gun on himself.
Soon after, a fundraising page was set up on GoFundMe.com, asking fans to donate what they can to help her grieving family members.
A message on the site reads: “This is a memorial fund created by Stephanie’s Hit The Floor family celebrating the life of an angel gone too soon. Stephanie Moseley represented the very best in all of us, and always did it in beat and with a smile. The world lost an amazing talent, and heaven gained an angel.
“Before dancing and the bright lights, Stephanie’s passion was always the love she shared with her family. With heavy hearts, we think there is no greater tribute to Stephanie than to embrace that love through supporting the celebration of her life and the ones that loved her.”
The dance drama’s executive producer James LaRosa admits to Entertainment Tonight that the entire cast and crew is still in shock over the tragedy, saying, “She was just a huge light for us – a wonderful person. It actually still is very surreal. I haven’t really fully processed it to be honest…
“None of the cast or crew of Hit the Floor wants Stephanie to be defined or remembered for yesterday. It’s a hideous, awful thing and we need to focus on Stephanie and the amazing person that she is.”
