Steve Aoki launches pizza delivery service

DJ Steve Aoki has set his sights on conquering the world of fast food with his newest venture – a pizza delivery restaurant.

Teaming up with restaurant group Family Style Inc., the American DJ has opened the doors to Pizzaoki, a pizza service which distributes all around Los Angeles via delivery company Postmates and online food ordering platform Uber Eats.

“I’m so excited to finally launch Pizzaoki,” Aoki told People magazine. “If you know me, you know I love pizza and I love technology so coming up with a concept in which I could tie both of those components together was a piece of cake!”

He’s starting his venture with five kitchens dotted around the Californian city, which will service 16 greater L.A. areas. Plans for a retail flagship location are also in the pipeline.

The pizzas are named after some of the 40-year-old’s most-loved tracks, including Just Hold On and Mayhem, and even feature “Mama Aoki’s recipe”.

The new project won’t be a surprise to fans though, as food is in the music star’s blood; his late father Rocky Aoki founded popular Japanese cuisine restaurant chain Benihana.
