Steve Hackett working on full Genesis reunion

Former Genesis star Steve Hackett is trying to reunite his old group.
Encouraged by Phil Collins’ upcoming concert comeback, the guitarist has revealed he’s chatting to the group’s original singer Peter Gabriel about a possible get-together.
Hackett, who was in the band from 1971 to 1977, tells MailOnline.com, “A Genesis reunion is possible. I’m speaking to Peter to find out what he thinks about the state of the world. I’m trying my best, believe me.
“I won’t say any more because I don’t want to raise expectations, but I am pushing at my end, so watch this space.”
Peter Gabriel quit the group in 1975 to spend time with his family and pursue a successful solo career, and drummer Collins replaced him as the band’s frontman. He quit the group in 1996 and was replaced by Stiltskin singer Ray Wilson.
Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford regrouped for the Turn It On Again Tour a decade later.
Hackett’s comments about a full Genesis reunion might seem odd to some fans following remarks he made about the band’s last get-together in 2014, when he, Gabriel, Banks, Rutherford, and Collins took part in Genesis: Together and Apart, a BBC documentary about the band’s history.
Hackett was critical of the way the project was edited, ignoring his solo work.
Asked about a possible reunion at the time he snarled, “Look at the documentary and you’ll get an idea of the priorities that come across.”
Collins announced an end to his retirement in 2015 and suggested a reunion with Banks and Rutherford would be possible.
