Stevie Wonder seeks to break Guinness World Record for charity

Stevie Wonder is spearheading a new Guinness World Record attempt for the longest guitar lesson to raise money for the visually impaired.
The soul legend has teamed with bosses at London’s The Guitar School to set up a 24-hour, non-stop tutorial, with participants aged between seven and 97, and the funds generated from the class will benefit aspiring musicians with visual impairments.
“It’s really important to make music accessible to all,” the I Just Called to Say I Love You hitmaker said in a statement. “The ground-breaking, Guinness World Records longest guitar lesson attempt is a great initiative. It is a small stepping stone on the way to enabling the visually impaired to learn an instrument.
“Who knows, there may be another Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix in the bunch.”
The initiative will help organisers at the school develop courses for communities with disabilities.
The lesson will begin on 18 July (19) and extend into the following day.
