Veteran British TV presenter Stuart Hall has admitted bedding a girl as young as 12, insisting she consented to sex. The broadcaster, who presented BBC sports programmes and hit game show It’s A Knockout, is accused of raping and sexually abusing two young females in his 1970s and ’80s heyday.
One of the girls was aged 12 to 15 at the time, and the other was aged 14 to 16, and Hall has admitted sleeping with both of them but claims they consented.
A jury at Preston Crown Court, England was told on Wednesday (07May14) that one of the women recalled how Hall even abused her in his dressing room at a BBC studio in Manchester, England.
Hall denies 15 charges of rape and five indecent assaults.
The trial continues.
