Staff from the Park City Medical Center will hand out 5,000 free bottles of hand sanitiser to visitors heading to the festival later this week (ends17Jan13) in an effort to make sure no one famous, like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Daniel Radcliffe and Jessica Biel, catches the virus while checking out movies at Sundance.
Utah health officials are also urging all visitors to get vaccinated before making the trip. An estimated 50,000 people are expected to jet into Park City for the 10-day indie film celebration.
The Sundance caution comes just days after a number of stars admitted they were battling the flu at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (13Jan13) – winners Jennifer Lawrence and Hugh Jackman were both ill on the red carpet and Meryl Streep was so sick she had to pull out of presenting duties.
