Swizz Beatz blasts Balenciaga for ripping off Ruff Ryders logo

Hitmaker and producer Swizz Beatz has blasted Balenciaga bosses for ripping off his Ruff Ryders label designs for their latest shirts.
Swizz, who produced DMX’s Ruff Ryders’ Anthem, is related to the man who founded the hip-hop record label in the late 1980s, and he’s far from happy to see the company’s logo on the catwalk.
Balenciaga stylists debuted their Spring 2018 collection during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris on Wednesday (21Jun17) – and it featured a shirt emblazoned with a design very similar to the Ruff Ryders ‘R’ logo.
“@balenciaga we must have a talk about this Ruff Ryder shirt ASAP,” Alicia Keys’ husband writes on Instagram.
Swizz also posted a picture of the original Ruff Ryders shirt, adding, “This is the Ruff Ryders original version from 2000… what are we doing??? Call me back blessings.
“I Might just want you to open up a fashion school in the bronx or harlem Just so you can give back to the culture! thoughts????”
His comments led to Ruff Ryders devotees slamming Balenciaga online, with one user writing: “Give props when its (sic) due, this is not ur design, not even a little bit!”
