Sylvester Stallone wanted Bob Dylan for Rambo song

Folk rocker Bob Dylan rejected an offer to record a song for action movie Rambo after he was approached by its star Sylvester Stallone, according to producer Moroder. The Daft Punk collaborator reveals the Rocky actor asked him to compose a song for Dylan in the hope that he would pen lyrics for the tune, but the legendary musician declined.
Moroder tells Britain’s The Guardian newspaper, “He (Dylan) listened to it about four times. I’m not sure if he didn’t like the music that much, or if he wasn’t interested…
“I think he didn’t feel like being involved with a movie such as Rambo. It was nice to meet him and it could have worked, but it didn’t work out.”
Stallone’s Rambo film series, about a troubled Vietnam War veteran, was based on author David Morrell’s book First Blood, which was published in 1972.
