Actor T.j. Miller was arrested by Los Angeles police early on Friday (09Dec16) after an alleged altercation with his cab driver.
The Silicon Valley star used the Uber car service app to get a ride home after making appearances at the GQ Men of the Year party and a bash for the Vulture Awards in Hollywood, but he became engaged in an argument with the driver over U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, and reportedly ended up slapping him on the head as they arrived at Miller’s home.
The furious driver made a citizen’s arrest and called the cops, who placed Miller in custody, according to TMZ.com.
It’s not clear what charges, if any, Miller is facing, but he was released without bail.
The comedy actor, who features alongside Jennifer Aniston in her new festive film Office Christmas Party, has yet to comment on the incident, but he is set to return to the spotlight on Sunday (11Dec16), when he is due to host the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards for the second consecutive year.
