Taron Egerton took Robin Hood archery set on vacation

Taron Egerton upset his girlfriend when he packed his archery set from Robin Hood for a vacation.
The Kingsman: The Secret Service actor plays the English outlaw in Otto Bathurst’s new movie, for which he had to learn how to use a bow and arrow. However, Taron explains he took a liking to the weapon and decided to take it with him on vacation to Hawaii two years ago.
“I had to get the studio to fly it (over), because I couldn’t take it on the plane because it’s classed as a lethal weapon,” he told U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America on Monday (19Nov18). “It was my first holiday with my girlfriend and she wasn’t particularly impressed that I was spending all my time firing arrows at palm trees.
“I really enjoyed (using) it…,” he added. “I got fairly good.”
Egerton worked alongside Jamie Foxx in the film and still can’t believe he can now call himself a co-star.
“For me, I’m from a small town in Wales and Jamie is such a huge film star,” the British actor added. “I still can’t quite believe that we’re splitting the billing on this film. In terms of working with him, he’s just the kindest most lovely guy and I feel very honoured to have (worked with him).”
Robin Hood, which also stars Jamie Dornan, follows the outlaw’s back story, as he becomes a “freedom fighter” and “justice warrior”. It’s set to be released in theatres later this week (ends23Nov18).
