Taylor Swift was set up with her new boyfriend Calvin Harris by “matchmaker” Ellie Goulding.
The Shake It Off star went public with her new romance with the Scottish DJ earlier this year (15) following a string of failed relationships with stars, rumoured to include Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer.
British pop star Goulding, who worked with Harris on songs including Outside and I Need Your Love, has now revealed she set her friends up because she knew they would get along.
She tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “I did play matchmaker, that’s true. Calvin is a really great mate and he’s so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, ‘They’re both really awesome and both really tall, they’ll be brilliant together’.”
