Taymor walked away from the Spider-Man project in March (11) following extensive delays, a string of bad reviews and safety issues.
The show has since gone on to re-open, but Taymor is looking to the future by taking on a new project – she’s overseeing an upcoming production of Disney’s The Lion King in Madrid, reports BroadwayWorld.com.
Taymor has a long association with the production – she won a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for her work on the show on Broadway.
