Actor Terrence Howard is set to remarry the mother of his two youngest children – three years after they secretly divorced.
The Empire star took to Instagram on Christmas Day (25Dec18) to reveal he had proposed to Mira Pak, with whom he shares sons Qirin, three, and Hero, two.
Terrence, who turns 50 in March (19), popped the question to Mira during a dinner with loved ones at Crustacean Beverly Hills, where he gave a special toast to their future together.
“We have an idea of how long we think life is, but we do know how short it can be,” he began in video footage posed online. “It took me 45 years to find you… But now that I have you in my 50th year, I will spend the rest of eternity at your side. And I pray that everybody finds that one that will complete them for all eternity because it means everything. I love you.”
“I love you too, baby,” an emotional Mira responded.
He also shared photos of Mira’s stunning seven-carat diamond ring, and expressed his gratitude to designer Ben Baller and owners at custom jewellery company IF & Co. for helping to make his wife-to-be a very happy woman.
“Thank you @benballer @ifandco The Most Gifted Jeweler in The World!!!” Terrence captioned the post. “Valentines coming soon, let’s show them how to truly Love your Woman (sic)!”
He went on to give a shout out to restaurant bosses for “making the night extra special”.
Terrence concluded the caption by adding, #bloodisthickerthanwaterbutloveisthegluethatbindsus (sic)”.
Howard and former model and restaurateur Pak initially wed in 2013, but quietly parted ways two years later, with their divorce news only emerging during 2015 court proceedings between the actor and his previous wife, Michelle Ghent, as they battled over spousal support payments. He and Ghent were married for just a year until their separation in 2011.
Meanwhile, Howard and Pak reconciled, and have been together ever since.
It won’t be the first time Terrence remarries an ex – he also exchanged vows twice with his first wife Lori McCommas. They originally wed in 1989 and divorced in 2003, before tying the knot for a second time in 2005. That reunion only lasted two years.
Howard and McCommas are parents to daughters Heaven and Aubrey.
