Terrence Malick’s long-awaited Voyage of Times to be released

Terrence Malick’s documentary Voyage of Time will be released later this year (16), three decades after the filmmaker began work on the project.
The film has been in production for 30 years and it will now hit theatres in October (16). According to reports, it will serve as a follow-up to the filmmaker’s provocative 2011 film The Tree of Life, which starred Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain.
Two versions of the Voyage of Time will be released. Brad Pitt will narrate a 40-minute IMAX version, while Cate Blanchett will lend her voice to a 35mm feature-length edition, according to Vulture.com.
“A celebration of the earth, displaying the whole of time, from the birth of the universe to its final collapse,” a press release describing the movie reads. “This film examines all that went to prepare the miracle that stands before us now. Science and spirit, birth and death, the grand cosmos and the minute life systems of our planet – all come together in Malick’s most ambitious film to date.”
