The Game becomes part-owner of marijuana dispensary

Rapper The Game has become a part-owner of a California marijuana dispensary.
The hip hop star, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, is a high profile advocate of marijuana use and has now bought a stake in The Reserve dispensary in Santa Ana.
As part of his co-ownership deal The Game, 36, will help the establishment develop new strains of marijuana to be sold on the premises and at other dispensaries across the state.
“Our mission as a community is simple: safe and legal access to a plant that saves lives and changes futures,” The Game said in a statement to the The Orange County Register.
Medicinal marijuana use has been legal in California since 1996.
Darice Smolenski, The Reserve’s co-owner added, “We pride ourselves in what we’ve been able to accomplish here in California. Having The Game become part of our Reserve family reinforces the power of collaboration and solidifies our place in the market.”
His stake in The Reserve is not The Game’s first weed-related business deal, as earlier this year (16) he partnered with GFarmaBrands to create a line of cannabis-infused lemonades and pre-rolled joints.
In November (16) Californians will go to the polls to vote on a law that would legalise recreational as well as medicinal marijuana use.
