‘The Good Fight’s’ Cush Jumbo Expecting First Child

The Good Fight star Cush Jumbo is pregnant with her first child.

The 32-year-old British actress, who plays lawyer Lucca Quinn in the spin-off of The Good Wife, announced her happy news as she attended the Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Thursday night (11Jan18).

Showcasing her growing bump in a chic black dress, Cush, who is married to digital media expert Sean Griffin, told Entertainment Tonight that she’s six months along.

She also revealed that the pregnancy will be written into an upcoming storyline on the CBS All Access series.

“It’s been great, because the Kings, who write the show, have written it into the show so Lucca and I are as pregnant as each other, and we’re dealing with some of the same issues… such as needing a snack or a pee in the middle of a really important scene!” she said.

Cush, who lost out on the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series gong to Ann Dowd for The Handmaid’s Tale at the Critics’ Choice Awards, added that she’s been having some bizarre cravings during her pregnancy so far.

“So we’re working with a lot of bananas, which I hated before and really love them now, and a lot of peanut butter, a lot of high-energy foods!” she smiled. “Donuts and pizza, too… I’m craving for everything!”

Cush stars alongside Christine Baranski and Rose Leslie in The Good Fight, which focuses on Christine’s character Diane Lockhart following the end of The Good Wife, which ended in 2016. And with her pregnancy, Cush joked there could be another spin-off in the pipeline.

“The Good Baby,” she laughed. “That will be a spin-off.”
