The Greatest Showman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen has been cast as the leader of the Symbionese Liberation Army in director James Mangold’s Patty Hearst biopic.
He’ll star alongside Elle Fanning, who will portray kidnapped heiress Hearst, who was brainwashed into becoming a bank robber and spokesman for the radical group.
Abdul-Mateen, who will also appear as Black Manta in the upcoming Aquaman movie, previously worked with Fanning on the film Sidney Hall.

Mangold’s Patty Hearst movie is based on author Jeffrey Toobin’s bestseller American Heiress.
