The Rascals cancel second Broadway show run

Reunited 1960s pop act The Rascals have scrapped plans to stage a follow-up to their successful 2012 Broadway run of shows. The Good Lovin’ hitmakers reformed after 40 years for their music and memories show The Rascals: Once Upon a Dream at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre in December (12).
The group was set for a return to the Big Apple for a series of concerts at the Marquis Theatre later this month (Dec13), but the shows have been cancelled due to scheduling issues with superfan and promoter Steven Van Zandt, who is filming his TV show Lilyhammer in Scandinavia and touring with Bruce Springsteen.
A statement from the band reads, “Unfortunately, The Rascals planned return to Broadway… has been canceled at this time. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments.”
