The show must go on for sick Glenn Close

Glenn Close battled a bad cold as she recorded her hit show Sunset Boulevard for the Lincoln Center archives on Friday night (23Jun17).
The actress told fans she’d be struggling to hit the high notes just before the show started, announcing she was ill via the theatre intercom.
“I just wanted to let you know that I’m suffering from a cold so I’m not in full voice tonight,” she said. “Timing couldn’t be worse as we’re recording for Lincoln Center archives, but there is nowhere else I would rather be than here tonight.”
Glenn belted her way through With One Look, which she nailed, and she was met with thunderous applause, and she landed a two-minute standing ovation from theatregoers after performing the show stopper As If We Never Said Goodbye.
Appreciative fans also forced the sick star to take four encore solo bows as she triumphantly got through the show. Close thanked the theatregoers for sticking with her and helping her make it through the show.
