The Simpsons theme park to open in Florida

The Simpsons are heading to Florida as bosses at Universal Studios Orlando prepare to open a theme-park version of the dysfunctional family’s hometown of Springfield. Fans of the longrunning animated series will be able to visit a new Universal Studios attraction based on the fictional town.
With an existing Simpsons Ride at its heart, the park will boast new additions including Moe’s Tavern, Lard Lad Donuts store and the Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop.
Jeffrey Godsick, president of Fox Consumer Products, says, “Fans will literally be able to live and breathe Springfield as they visit the statue of Jebediah, enjoy a Krusty Burger and have a seat at Moe’s Tavern.”
The attraction will open over the summer (13).
