The Who ask fans to seek out rare photos and footage

The Who are offering VIP concert tickets to fans who unearth the best memorabilia for the group’s 50th anniversary celebrations later this year (14). Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have asked devotees to dig through their archives and attics for rare recordings, photos and fan footage.
A similar initiative in 2002 led to the discovery of footage of The High Numbers performing in 1964. The group became The Who later that year.
The band’s 50th anniversary tour begins in Dublin, Ireland on 26 November (14), a month after the release of a new two-CD compilation album.
