The Wolf of Wall Street still flying high at U.K. box office

Martin Scorsese’s drug-fuelled tale of debauchery, The Wolf Of Wall Street, is still riding high at the U.K. box office, with weekend (24-26Jan14) takings of $5.7 million (£3.6 million). The movie, starring Oscar-nominated Leonardo DiCaprio as real life crooked stockbroker Jordan Belfort, kept Oscars favourite 12 Years A Slave in the number two position for the second week in a row. The heart-rending drama took $3.5 million (£2.2 million)
Spy action film Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit debuted in third place, with $1.9 million (£1.2 million), animated comedy Frozen made fourth position, with $1.7 million (£1.1 million), and the top five was rounded out by crime caper American Hustle, which took $1.6 million (£997,000).
