British rapper Azealia Banks has scrapped her performances at two North American festivals this weekend as a result of a “severe throat infection”. The Yung Rapunzel hitmaker, who axed a handful of summer festival slots a year ago (12) citing “recording commitments”, has pulled out of the Lollapalooza and Osheaga festivals.
She becomes the second star act to pull out of a set at Montreal’s Osheaga event in Canada in recent days – Frank Ocean will no longer be performing after announcing he has been diagnosed with a vocal tear. Miguel has been added to the line-up to replace Ocean.
